So how does a fast food chain like Burger King exude Excellence and empathy? By seeing the bigger picture of what the world is dealing with during these times of struggle and encouraging folks to support restaurants, even if that means eating at their “Arch” enemy, McDonalds, or other restaurants. –By Brian Hurlburt, Magnifying Excellence Podcast Host.
Burger King UK tweeted recently that folks should support restaurants–and therefore restaurant workers–by eating out, no matter what food destination was chosen.
“We never thought we’d be asking you to do this, but restaurants employing thousands of staff really need your support at the moment,” read the Burger King tweet that also included KFC, Subway and Domino’s Pizza and others. “So, if you want to help, keep treating yourself to tasty meals through home delivery, takeaway or drive thru.”
Probably a terrific lesson in there somewhere. You don’t have to prop yourself up all of the time to do good business. You can reach out to others and make an impact that is beneficial to you and others.
We know, we never thought we’d be saying this either. pic.twitter.com/cVRMSLSDq6
