Steelers Roethlisberger, Young Wideouts Exemplify NFL Excellence

DKPittsburghSports.com founder and writer Dejan Kovacevic has a way with words, and he recently labeled the partnership between Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger as exemplifying energy and Excellence. Who are we to argue? –By Brian Hurlburt, Magnifying Excellence Podcast Host and Founder.

Kovacevic captures the success on offense of everyone involved as, “This blossoming symbiosis between a 38-year-old quarterback and his babyfaced brigade of receivers … man, it’s increasingly a special sight in any setting.”

He called out one play in particular between Big Ben and James Washington as being among the prettiest in football.

The Steelers are 10-0, the only undefeated team in the NFL. The future Hall of Fame quarterback and a group of young wideouts are a big reason why.

“They’re a fun young group,” Roethlisberger told SteelersDepot.com recently. “I enjoy working with them. I enjoy communicating with them, at nights, through videos and texts and things like that. I joke that they keep me young, but they really are a selfless group that really believes in each other. They’re genuinely happy for each other, and they just want to win football games. I’m blessed to have such a fun skill group.”
