Tampa Bay Coach Saw Brady’s Excellence Immediately

It was clear to Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich even well before the season started that his new quarterback, Tom Brady, was all about Excellence. What he quickly noted has been proven yet again as the Bucs are in the NFC title game. –By Brian Hurlburt, Host and Founder, Magnifying Excellence Podcast.

“That is what you get when you bring Tom Brady in,” Leftwich told WFLA TV in June 2020. “He is about Excellence. He is trying to do everything possible to make sure we are as successful as possible. We, as coaches, are doing the same thing and it is great to have a guy like that to come in and lead the guys and get as much participation as he has gotten from the guys. It is just a sign of where we think our team is at, the maturity of our team. I think we got a lot of players that are willing to do a lot of things possible to become a better football team and win football games.”

Brady and the Bucs defeated the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2021, to advance to the NFC title game against the Green Bay Packers and their QB who exudes Excellence, Aaron Rodgers. It will be the 14th conference title game of Brady’s career, but the first in the NFC after only one season with Tampa Bay. Brady has also won six Super Bowl titles and is looking to advance to his 10th big game.

Probably not the best idea to bet against him.
